TJ's House Orphanage - Zimbabwe

At The Tabernacle, we purpose to give hope to the hopeless and life to the lifeless. The photos below are pictures of the tractor and bus we were able to purchase for TJ's House, our sponsored orphanage outreach in Zimbabwe, Africa. There was enough money left-over from our Fall 2010 campaign for TJ's to invest towards a future playgound center. The tractor allows TJ's to continue to grow thier own crops as well as sell surplus in their area. Monies raised from the sales help fund education for the orphans and daily expenses.

The Tabernacle and Pastor Mutatu of TJ's House thank you for your help in changing lives and destinies. Because of your prayers, finances and visits to TJ's House, children have hope and a future. May our good God continue to bless you and yours! More and opportunities to give below the photos.

TJ'S House of Healing

We were invited to Africa in 2004 to speak at a few churches by a friend that lived in the United States. Our thoughts were not about the orphaned children at that time. We were completely oblivious to the severity of the problem. During our 3 week stay, our hearts were broken by the enormous loss of life that had left so many children without parents. In 2004 there were an estimated 980,000 orphans. Today in 2011, the number is near 14.8 million (source). While we can't reach all, we WILL reach some. Thus, TJ's House was born.

Zimbabwe Facts

It is reported that the highest percentage of AIDS orphans are in Zimbabwe, Africa (source). Millions of children have already lost parents as a result of the AIDS epidemic, and millions more are likely to over the next few years. There is an urgent need to help, care for, and protect these children. In Zimbabwe, a variety of initiatives are now taking place to help AIDS orphans, but the number of orphaned children is increasing. The current response is not keeping up with the increase in need. PLEASE HELP.
